About this book
The book of lost words part one is the first in a series of tales that deal with a fantasy world that could just as easily be our real world. Athea the elf is a young (by their standards) elf on the verge of completing her apprenticeship as one of the herbren, the healers in her small town of elvandar, when a series of odd events bring the dwarf youngster Brax into her life. Brax himself is young, on the verge of maturity, and the subject of a prophecy. Having been said to be “forged, but not of the forge”, it is no surprise that Brax has no regard for his father’s blacksmith business. But what really disturbs his father is the second half of the prophecy, that talks about “a blade of no warrior” cutting him off from family. So when Brax brings back an elf’s wooden sword, his father is very worried. The events that follow after lead to the young dwarf getting separated from his family, and the attempts they make to get him back while dealing with trouble on the home front and a host of other issues.
